Start in the Middle

My Morning Reflection was about starting in the middle.  It is a perfect reminder to me.  I've been working on my book and have hit a moment in time when I feel like I am in the middle with no end in sight.  I hit a wall last night and was feeling a little stuck.
This reminder was to just start.  Who cares where.... just do it.

I think each of us can get easily stuck on our dreams.  They are so much easier left as dreams of what could be than they are in the moment of manifesting those dreams.  That is when I watch people run away, bail out, hide, or become..... discouraged by the middle.

It is one foot.  One Step.  One moment in time.  And a willingness to sit with the discomfort of a process that is not immediate.  To hang out with the unknown.  And to have faith.

It would be so easy to fill my time and my attention with anything else at this point.  And yet..... I find myself back in the middle.  Ready for anything and excited about the journey once more!

It almost sounds like the beginning to a love song about being in the middle on the brink or about to cross the point of no return….  Is that what you mean?

You know what?  It isn't what I mean, but when I read what you wrote, I thought there was also perfection in that, Timbo.  Because being in the middle of a project is being at the point of no return.

It is easy to have a dream if you never work to manifest that dream.  But when you do…. you are putting it out on the line and there is a point of no return.  And in that middle ground, it can no longer be part of the fantasy of “wouldn't it be nice if….”  Now it is part of your reality and you need to love and nuture it into being.

I like thinking about it being another facet of love.

Middle… maybe it's the bulls eye… hoping but not likely…
I'm lost in the middle too, at this very moment.
Exactly as you said it… with no end in sight.
Written too much to stop… yet unsure how to go on.
My wish… that my lead character murder my inner editor and follow his own heart… rise & fly with a life of its own & give the story a life of its own…

Alex, we will muster on!!!

I AM PAST HALFWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!  (well, not if you include the artwork, but for right now I won't)!!!!

No murder of the inner editor.  Offer that part of you another job.  Like outside life coach until it is time to edit.
